Which silver to choose?

It’s great to know how and what silver does, but with so many silvers on the market these days, how can you tell the difference from one to the other?  Here is a breakdown of the main two.

Nanosilver and colloidal silver solutions

MicroSilver BG™

Nano particles are small enough to penetrate into the skin’s surface and enter into the bloodstream.

Micro particles are too large (10 Microns = 10,000 nano meters) to penetrate the skin’s surface.

Nano particles will not stay on the surface of the skin.
Structure is too small.

Micro particles will stay on the surface of the skin.  Also, has the ability to cling onto hair and remain on the skin due to its porous structure.

Kills bad bacteria on top of skin.  ALSO kills good bacteria
in the skin.

Kills bad bacteria on top of skin.  Leaves good bacteria in the skin unaffected.

Usually a liquid solution (such as mineral oil) with particles of metallic nano silver suspended in it.

A dry powder consisting of highly porous & micro-sized particles of pure silver.

Produced via a chemical process using silver of varying
purities.

Produced by a physical process using only 99.99% pure silver.

Commonly taken orally as a supplement / immune booster

Commonly used in topical, personal care and oral care products

Whole nano controversy; Safety for humans and environment?

High product safety due to large micro-sized particles. Does not penetrate skin or mucosa tissue.

Not used in skincare / personal care in Europe or Japan

Used worldwide

Can cause side effects. The most common is argyria, a
bluish-gray discoloration of the skin, which is usually permanent.

No argyria and no other side effects.
